About Me

I offer counselling/psychotherapy to individuals, couples, groups.

I specialise in couple and relationship counselling, anger management and self esteem/confidence building.

I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including:

  • relationship issues
  • anger management
  • self esteem
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • parenting
  • workplace issues
  • sexual/emotional/physical abuse
  • life-crisis
  • weight management

    I believe the effectiveness of the counselling work is dependent on the therapeutic relationship.

    I aim to offer a safe, supportive atmosphere in a warm and therapeutic environment.

    The first meeting (for which the fee is payable) is an opportunity for us to meet and exchange information.

    This meeting is an opportunity for any questions to be asked and for us to get to know each other a little and decide if our working together would be useful.

    My qualifications

  • Embodied Relational Psychotherapy Diploma
  • European Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • MBACP Accreditation since 2004.
  • I studied Therapeutic Group Work at York University in 2000/2001.
  • FE 7307 Teaching Certificate
  • BTEC in Weight Management

    How much?

    Individuals =£45
    Couples = £50

    How Long?

    Each counselling session lasts for 50 minutes. This is your time to look at whatever is worrying you, in your own way. You are free to disclose as little or as much as you feel comfortable with.

    How often?

    Usually once weekly counselling sessions, in the beginning.

    How many sessions?

    Some people choose to come for a fixed number of counselling sessions, say 6 or 8, some prefer to be open-ended. We can discuss this at the first session and also review it during the course of counselling.

    Is it confidential?

    Confidentiality is discussed at the initial counselling session and confidentiality would only be broken if there was seen to be a serious risk of harm; every effort would be made to discuss the issue with you first and where possible get your consent.
